Senator Mitch McConnell on Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Death and Supreme Court Nomination Process

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell delivered remarks on the Senate floor following the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. McConnell said, “She was not just a lawyer. No, not just a lawyer, but a leader.” On the process of filing the Supreme Court’s vacancy, McConnell said, “President Trump’s nominee for this vacancy will receive a vote on the floor of the Senate…the Senate has more than sufficient time to process the nomination. History and precedent make that perfectly clear.”
